The Tunnel & Station Excavation (TSE) project is the second stage of the Sydney Metro network that connects stage 1 at Chatswood to the existing heavy rail at Sydenham.
The connection consists of twin 15.5km TBM tunnels that cross beneath Sydney Harbour and includes the complex excavation of underground caverns to facilitate new stations at Chatswood, Crows Nest, Victoria Cross, Barangaroo, Martin Place and Pitt Street (Gadigal) with an open cut station box excavation at Waterloo.
JAGCON Group worked with the John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella Joint Venture (JHCPBG) providing project management services, expert advice on constructability and senior engineers throughout the lifecycle of the project. JAGCON Group assisted JHCPBG from the pre-contract phase right through the delivery up to project completion.

Sydney Metro Northwest is the first stage of Sydney Metro, which included 15 km of twin TBM tunnels connecting the new viaduct rail at Bella Vista and the existing Sydney Trains network at Epping.
The works also included hard rock tunnelling, excavation, and cavern construction of new stations at Bella Vista, Norwest Business Park, Hills Showground, Castle Hill, and Cherrybrook, along with two service shafts.
JAGCON Group worked with the Thiess, John Holland, Dragados Joint Venture providing project management services, expert advice on constructability, and senior engineers throughout the lifecycle of the project.
JAGCON Group assisted the project through the tender phase and throughout the entirety of the delivery.

City Rail Link is New Zealand’s largest ever transport infrastructure project, aiming to greatly improve connectivity of the Auckland rail network and allowing it to almost quadruple its capacity.
It includes twin 3.5km rail tunnels underneath Auckland’s CBD, with two new underground stations and the redevelopment of two existing stations. A combination of cut-and-cover, TBM, and mined tunnelling techniques were used.
JAGCON Group worked with the Link Alliance providing an early Peer Review of the design and construction methodology for Karanga-a-Hape Station. This included design optimisation, site layout review, and detailed analysis and commentary on methods, sequencing, and program for excavation and lining works.
