The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant will provide a safe, reliable, and economically feasible new water source supplying up to 50 billion litres of drinking water per year. This is a crucial initiative to secure future water supply amidst declining rainfall and increasing population in Western Australia.
The project is being delivered through an alliance and will include:
– Desalination capacity for 150 ML/day, with futureproofing for an additional 150 ML/day
– Twin TBM tunnels – 2.5km inlet tunnel and 4km outlet tunnel
– Marine works for the inlet and outlet riser structures

The Great Northern Highway Realignment Project involved realigning an 8km section of a major road around the Wedgefield industrial area in Port Hedland in Western Australia’s remote Pilbara region. The project scope also included a major road interchange, a new road bridge over BHP’s iron ore rail line, a level bridge at South Creek, and new intersections.
JAGCON Group provided short-term support during the critical start-up phase, including setting up for key project delivery areas and awarding subcontracts. JAGCON Group revised the program and planning to avoid a second wet season, which saw the project finish six months early.
